Hong is a dedicated educator who has been teaching with the Calgary Board of Education for over 15 years, supporting student growth and success. She immigrated to Canada as a refugee at the age of six and was raised in Calgary, Alberta. A proud alumna of Forest Lawn High School and the University of Calgary, Hong knew from an early age that she wanted to become a teacher.

Driven by a strong passion for helping others, she continues to make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom. Hong currently serves as a Board Member with the Calgary Vietnamese Association for the Encouragement of Learning, where she is committed to supporting and empowering youth in her community.
