Emma Ly is a concurrent Kinesiology and Education student at the University of Calgary with extensive experience in leadership and student engagement. She currently serves as Vice President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association, where she leads an executive team of over 30 members and coordinates large-scale events with the aim of fostering the Vietnamese community. She also serves as Junior Vice President for Stars for Scholarly Youth, overseeing mentorship program operations and coordinating initiatives that connect students and build community engagement. In this role, she facilitates mentor-mentee pairings, supports program development, and works to ensure a positive and enriching experience for all participants.

Emma joined Ban Khuyen Hoc because she is passionate about helping students and giving back to the community. In her role as Program Coordinator for the tutoring centre, she directed a $10,000 renovation, supervises tutors, and revamped the website to improve accessibility and engagement for students. Outside of her academic and volunteer work, she enjoys playing volleyball and hiking, which keeps her energized and inspired to contribute to the community.
